Wilma Celeste (Trammell) Campbell

Wilma Celeste (Trammell) Campbell, age 91, a native of Bonnyman, Kentucky and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at her residence. She was born on July 21, 1930 to the late Austin Trammell Sr. and the late Grace Olive (Myers) Trammell. She was a longtime faithful member of New Beginnings Church. When thinking about Wilma, she is best described as loving, dependable, faithful, and generous with a hint of stubborn as she would say with a grin, "I am always right".
She was a volunteer at the Seymour Hospital for over 40 years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning and cooking her family favorites of chicken and noodles and fudge.
She is survived by her three sons, Lanny Ray Campbell of Seymour, Indiana, Anthony Campbell and his wife Joy of Greenfield, Indiana and Brian Campbell and his wife Deanna of Seymour, Indiana. one daughter, Kelley Elsner of Seymour, Indiana and one brother, Max Trammell and his wife Mary Helen of Franklin, Ohio. Six grandchildren, Celeste Campbell, Brad Campbell, Elizabeth Campbell, Cassie Campbell, Sam Elsner and Zachary Campbell. One great grandchild, Aubrey Campbell and one daughter in law, Cheryl Campbell of Harvest, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of over 65 years, Verdie Campbell, one son, Tommy Edward Campbell, two brothers, Austin Trammell Jr. and John Trammell and one sister, Mary Nan Feltner. one grandson, Charlie Campbell, one son in law, Pete Elsner, and daughter in law, Patsy Campbell.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 24th from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home with services beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor John Trammell Jr. officiating. She will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana.
