William "Jerry" Anderson

William Jerry Anderson, age 71 of Seymour, passed away at 2:25am Sunday, April 19th at his home surrounded by his family. Born May 7, 1943 in Seymour, he was the son of Sylvester Anderson, Sr. and Helen (Jaynes) Anderson. On February 14, 1987 in Hartsville, Tennessee, he married Tina Findley. Jerry was a truck driver having driven for Wischmeier Trucking, Waskom Trucking and Regal Industries. He enjoyed watching Nascar, especially Danica Patrick. He also enjoyed spending time on Facebook as well as fishing, but most enjoyed spending time with family. He is survived by his wife Tina; children, Jerry Kevin Anderson of Seymour, Kim Hatton of Spencer, Tracy (Patricia) Anderson of Seymour, Tuwana (Frank) Simpson of Seymour, Lynn (Brad) Cowles of Medora, Ridge Swaney of Seymour, and step-son, Michael (Wendy) Hicks of Shelbyville. He is also survived by 10 siblings, Monie (Bill) Combs-Brooks, Elaine (Clifford) Knight, Barb Sawyer, Sue Buster, Jim (Clara) Anderson, Damon (Stella) Anderson, Gary (Lois) Anderson, John (Susie) Anderson, Steve Anderson and Ricky Joe Anderson; also 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; sons, David Anderson and James Bunch; siblings Nancy Black, Pat Brooks, Sylvester Anderson and 5 brothers who passed at birth. A memorial service will be at 4:00pm Saturday, April 25th at the Hamilton Township Conservation Club. Memorials can be made to the Hospice of Schneck Medical Center or to the Don & Dana Myers Cancer Center. Friends can sign the guest book or share a memory at www.WoodlawnFamilyFuneral.com.
