William C. Surrett

William Chester “Bill” Surrett, age 70 of Osgood, died on Tuesday, January 14th at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. Born March 3, 1943 in Peoria, Illinois, he was the son of William R. and Ollie Mae (Boldery) Surrett. Bill worked in St. Louis at Sandstone and worked doing odd jobs. He was married to Floria Bell in 1976, married to Tina Gleitz Pearson in 1982 and then to Mary Wise in 1997. He enjoyed watching wrestling on tv and playing cards. Survivors include three daughters, Nora Bridge of Seymour, Ollie Hollan of Austin and Victoria Telegas; Also surviving are three grandchildren, Breanna Bridge, Makaila Hollan, Gabriel Hollan; three sisters, Barbara Truesdell of North Vernon, Ruby Surrett of Mobile, AL, Janet Large; one brother, Raymond Surrett; also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Donald R. Surrett; and a sister Betty Surrett. A service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, January 20th at the Woodlawn-Vail Funeral Chapel at 117 Holt Road. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home.
