Valerie Jean Mcdonald

Valerie Jean McDonald, age 59, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana passed from this life to Glory on Monday, August 9, 2021 with family by her side that she loved so dearly. She was born on September 10, 1961 to the late William McDonald and the late Sandy (Field) McDonald. Valerie was a member of Greater Vision Ministries in Seymour, Indiana. She loved to crochet and spend time doing coloring books. The staff at Seymour Crossing loved her so much. She was so helpful to the staff and residents alike.
She is survived by her son, Richard Benton and his wife Jennifer of Clear Water, Florida and two daughters, April Benton of Lexington, Indiana and Victoria Phillips and her husband Rev. Nathan Phillips of Seymour, Indiana. Two brothers, Rohn Buffington and his wife Robin of Seymour, Indiana and Joe McDonald of Seymour, Indiana. Seven grandchildren, Isaiah Phillips, Luke Coomler, Marley Coomler, Collin Phillips, Emmalyn Benton, Gabrielle Phillips and Kendall Benton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Nathan Phillips officiating. Private family burial will be held at Cana Cemetery.
