Tony Wayne Colwell

Tony Wayne Colwell, age 60 of Seymour, passed away at home on November 9, 2012. Born February 4, 1952 in Seymour, he was the son of Pryse and Opal (Seals) Colwell who preceded him in death. On October 8, 2005, he married Barbara Byarlay in Brownstown. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1971-1974. He had worked several years at the Golden Foundry in Columbus. Tony enjoyed playing cards and bingo, but his greatest joy was fishing. Survivors include his wife Barbara; sons, Tony Colwell, Jr. of Alabama, John (Wanda) Colwell of Arkansas, Colin Colwell and Randall Nowland of Seymour; daughters, Alicia Ralph of Arkansas, Sarah (Chris) Lockman and Rebecca (Robert) Edwards of Seymour. Tony is also survived by 2 brothers, Duane (Debbie) Colwell and Danny (Cheryl) Colwell of Seymour and 2 sisters, Patricia Lynn (Nick) Newland of Seymour and Donna (Butch) Crafton of Shelbyville. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Ron Byarlay and Pastor Bob Manuel will conduct a funeral service at 2:00pm Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at the Medora Christian Church, 76 George & Riley Street in Medora, 47260. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00pm until service time at the church. Cremation will follow services. Memorials can be made care of the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
