Thomas R. “Tom” Henley, age 80 of Seymour, passed away surrounded by family after a short illness at his home. Born May 15, 1936 in Seymour, he was the son of Ray and Barbara (Cockerham) Henley. On December 16, 1995, he married Patricia Reichenbacker Rumph.
Tom retired in 1996 from Tom’s Standard service station that he opened in 1957. He was a 56 year member of the Elks Lodge in Seymour.
Survivors include his wife Pat; children, Mark (Dana) Henley of Seymour, Kellie (Marcello) Fernandes of Coconut Grove, FL, Sue (John) Tracey of Clermont, CA and Shari (Ed) Hawes of Indianapolis; Step-children, Jonra (Phil) Rebber, Debbie (Dan) Gorbett, Jeff (Linda) Rumph and Andy (Brandy) Rumph; siblings, Terry (Jennifer) Henley of Ohio, Sandra (Ronald) Barnes of Arizona, Rayetta (Orville) Akers and Laura (Cullen) Stahl both of Seymour; sister-in-law Jan Henley of Ohio. Tom also had several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Timothy and Terry Henley; brother, Fred Henley.
Private services will be held at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre in Seymour. In memory of Tom, the family asks that no flowers be sent and that memorials be sent in his memory to the funeral home made to the Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
