Thomas A Swank, age 64 of Seymour, passed away on December 8, 2016 at home peacefully.
Thomas was born at Sandia Base, Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 21, 1952. He served in the US Army from May 19, 1972 through January 18, 1974 and earned an honorable discharge. He married the love of his life, Linda on April 24, 1976 in Bedford, Indiana. He passed with her next to his side. Tom was retired as a machinist in a tool and die company.
Surviving is Linda (wife), his only child, Tonya (Brian) Disque of Vallonia; his mother, Mary Jean Swank; siblings, Ken (Jennifer) Swank of Gadsden, AL, Carla (Jack) Case of Bedford, Don (Sandra) Swank of Oolitic; and his grandsons whom he loved more than anything, Bryar and Case Disque. He also leaves behind a mini-pin, his best friend, Harley and many nieces and nephews.
Tom is proceeded in death by his father, Carl Dickson Swank and his beloved mini-pin, Shorty.
Tom loved spending time with his grandsons, teaching them the ways of the world. He spent a lot of time in the garage showing them how to use tools and playing in the pool. He also loved rides on his Harley Davidson. Anyone who knew him knew exactly where they stood with him and his smile was infectious.
Pastor Steve Greene will conduct a funeral service at 7:00pm on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until service time at the funeral home.
