Stephen A Coombs

Stephen A. Coombs, age 63 of Seymour, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Schneck Medical Center. Born June 8, 1955 in Seymour, he was the son of Robert and Mary Louise (Nichter) Coombs. On June 27, 1997, Steve married Diana Weaver.
Steve graduated in 1974 from Seymour High School. He then worked for the City of Seymour in the parks department for 26 years before retirement. Steve loved helping in kids sports and had coached little league for 27 years and elementary basketball for 25 years. He also enjoyed watching IU Basketball.
Survivors include his wife Diana; sons, B.J. (Stephanie) Robbins of Greenwood and Craig (Mindy) Robbins of Seymour; grandchildren, Luci, Colin and Kloey Robbins; sisters, Ava Caudill and Brenda (Tony) Selby of Seymour, Patty (Keith) Whipker of Elizabethtown. Steve also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marsha Hawkins.
Services will be at 11am on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and then on Friday from 10:00am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
