Stella June Broady

Stella June Broady, 91, passed away December 17 2020. She was born to the late Daniel Boone Rose and Stella Ynemia (Collins) Rose on February 9 1929 in Underwood Indiana. June had 3 brothers, Chuck Rose, Frank Rose and Robert Boone Rose, all preceded her. June graduated from Scottsburg Senior High School May 1948. She was married to the late Marvin Edward Broady, September 9 1948 in Broadhead Kentucky. They iived around Leota Indiana until they purchased their farm in 1950. Together, they worked to provide for their family the late Michael Edward Broady, surviving daughters Melissa & Sam Sears of Underwood Indiana and Melodie & Russell St. Clair of Scottsburg Indiana along with grandchildren Aaron Rutledge, Salem Indiana, Ben & Rebecca Rutledge and great granddaughters Emmaline Grace and Effie Marie Rutledge, Salem Indiana.  June worked many jobs outside of the home, but retired from Scott County School District 2 working as a Cafeteria employee at Finley Elementary and later at the consolidated Vienna-Finley Elementary School. June helped Marvin with many tasks of the farm, while always keeping her vegetable and flower gardens. June was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Leota Indiana, serving as a Sunday School Teacher for many years, and various committees and activities. June was proud of her family and leaves behind many beautiful memories.
