Sharon Ann (Shields) Byers

Sharon Ann (Shields) Byers, age 85, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, Indiana. She was born on July 3, 1937 to the late Earl Shields and the late Luella (Bowman) Stigdon.

Sharon was a Christian by faith and loved God with all her heart. She enjoyed reading, playing games, fishing and cooking with pumpkin pie, mid cake and potato salad being among the family favorites. 

Above all, she loved her family.

She is survived by her four daughters, Donna Madden and her husband Gary of Seymour, Indiana, Denise Wehr of Seymour, Indiana, Diana Lowe of Seymour, Indiana and Ryli Lowe of Seymour, Indiana. 

Six grandchildren, Bobby Carr, Missy Barnett, Eric Carr, Nick Lowe, Mikey Barnett and Jake Lowe. Three great grandchildren, Lindsey Rooks, McKenna Carr and Rubie Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son in law, John Wehr.

The family has chosen cremation and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
