Ruby Berry Sage

May 11, 1935 — December 21, 2022

Ruby Berry-Sage, 87, of Lexington IN, passed away Wednesday, December 21 2022 at the Beehives Homes of Scottsburg Assisted Living. Ruby was born May 11 1935 in Pineville Kentucky to the late Bill Baker & the late Rhoda Cowans Baker. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed life as a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, canning, and  country girl cooking with her "melt in your mouth" biscuits,. Ruby was a hard worker, kind and loving woman and above all loved her family very much. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. Many times we read that a light has gone out in the world. No time has been more true than now. She never said an unkind word about anyone, even if they did her wrong. She would just pray for them to change their ways. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She will always be remembered and loved by her family, who were always her priority in life. Though incoherent in the end, she managed to open her eyes and cry with family as we said our goodbyes. She is survived by her daughter Loretta Cloud and husband Vance of Scottsburg;  grandson Nathan Jones & fiance Kimmy of Lexington; great grandson Michael Sturgill of Seymour IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Carina Sturgill; her first husband of 43 years and father of her daughter, Benny Berry; and her second husband of 10 years George Sage; and her brother Curtis Baker.  The family will hold Private Services on Wednesday at Christensen-Hoagland Family Funeral Home, with burial to follow at the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington IN.
