Roy W. King

Roy W. King, age 62 of Freetown, passed away on Sunday, December 15th at his home surrounded by his family following a short illness. Roy was born in Columbus, Indiana on November 18, 1951 to Thomas Edward and Roxena Maxine (Besse) King. On September 12, 1970, he married Joyce Greathouse who passed away on March 14, 1991. On July 24, 1992, Roy married Barbara “Bobbi” Weitzel. Survivors include his wife Bobbi, his children, Jennifer (Robert) Shelton, Jamie King, Kaleb Frye, Mitchell Frye, Nichole (Kyle) Kaiser and Kelli Wright. Roy also had nine grandchildren, Rachel, Steven, Rebecca, Lexi, Kylie, Kaden, Karissa, Bailey and Jaslynn; two sisters, Euala (Dave) Wagler and Deirdre (Phil) Warrenburg. Roy was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Arthena King. To keep with Roy’s wishes, there will be no services and cremation will occur. He also requested that friends wishing to make donation in his memory place that into a memorial fund for the education of his grandson Kaleb.
