Rosemary Jean (Woods) Hooker

Rosemary Jean (Woods) Hooker, age 97, a native of Williamsport, Indiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Lutheran Community Home. She was born on October 24, 1926 to the late Oakley Woods and the late Mary Ellen (Collier) Woods. 

She was a member of Central Christian church and a graduate of Ball State with a degree in Education. She taught school for 29 years at Boswell Elementary School. She loved teaching and was a talented seamstress and quilt maker. She was loving lady and friend to many.

She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Robert D. Hooker of Seymour, Indiana, one son, Robert Hooker and his wife Sue Ann of North Vernon, Indiana, one daughter, Kathy Simmons and her husband Roger of Connecticut. One brothers, William Woods of Florida, seven grand children and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Morris Woods and three sisters, Marge Jacobs, Josephine Granlaund and Wilma Peecy.

In keeping with her wishes, the family has chosen cremation.
