Rosemary (Edwards) Bevers, 85 of Seymour passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. Born March 18, 1935 in Seymour she was the daughter of Clyde and Pearl (Brown) Edwards.
Rosemary was a lifelong member of the Clearspring Baptist Church where she sang gospel, taught Sunday school and went on missions. For many years she was President of the women's missionary group that sent supplies to missionaries in other countries. She was a sweet, kind and loving mother. She was also an excellent cook and was known for her dumplings, roast and taters, pie, red velvet cake, fudge and no bake cookies. Rosemary loved to fish and her family was her world.
She leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Frank Wendel Bevers, of Seymour; her daughters, Brenda Kay Jackson and Lisa Ann Bevers of Seymour; her son, Timothy Bevers of Seymour and Matthew Bevers (Teresa Scott) of Freetown; sisters, Helen Anderson of Brownstown and Velma Jackson of Clear Springs; brothers, Floyd Junior Edwards (Nancy) of Bedford, Wayne Dale Edwards (Janet) of Tell City; grandchildren, Wendy Jackson, Eric Jackson (Bethany) and Monika Thoele (Brooks) all of Seymour; great-grandchildren, Braden Jackson, Olivia Thoele and Lincoln Thoele.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Peggy Charles and her brothers, Bob Edwards and Hershel “Short” Edwards.
Pastor David Sawyers will conduct funeral services at 1:00pm Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Clearspring Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service at the church on Tuesday.
