Roland E. Croucher

Roland Edward Croucher, age 79 of Seymour, passed away at his home on Monday, September 18, 2017. Born July 14, 1938 in Seymour, he was the son of Lawrence Edward and Zelma Sue (Miller) Croucher.

Rollie, as he was known by his friends and family, graduated from Seymour High School in 1956 and studied Theology and Business Law at the Apostolic Bible College in St. Paul, MN. For many years, Rollie lived and worked in St. Petersburg, Florida, retiring from Fashion Inc. where he was the Manager of Facilities. Rollie loved golfing and fishing and spent hours fishing with his grandson, Lance, off the dock of his house in St. Petersburg when Lance was a small child. His most memorable fishing trip was when he chartered a boat to take his parents deep sea fishing.
Rollie was baptized and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. After retirement, his ministry of praying for others and years working as a caregiver and as a staff member at SpringHill Camps provided comfort to people of all ages.

Rollie was preceded in death by his son, Ladd Alan Croucher. He leaves behind his grandson, Christopher Lance Croucher of Lakewood, CO, a daughter in law, Elizabeth Ann Croucher of Lakewood, CO, and a brother, Dennis (Evelyn) Croucher of Knoxville, TN. He also leaves cherished memories of his life here with his family and his many friends and acquaintances.
Rev. Sondra Gentry will conduct funeral services for Rollie at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Bethel Community Church at 350 Calvin Boulevard in Seymour. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time. Private burial will follow at White River Valley Cemetery in Medora.
