Roberta "Bobbie" Jean (Carnahan) Smith, 74, a native of Batesville, Indiana and a resident of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday January 18, 2020 at Hampton Oaks in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Aden Carnahan and Jeraldine (LeClerc) Carnahan.
Roberta will forever be remembered as a realistic and forthright lady that loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved the outdoors, being a homemaker and cooking. She was famous for her campfire chili and vegetable soup. Roberta loved bowling and was a member of the Friday night mixed league in Scottsburg and served her country proudly in the United States Army.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Danny Smith of Scottsburg, Indiana. Three children, Kevin Vaughn and his wife Debbie of Montana, Colin Vaughn and his wife LaDonna of North Vernon, Indiana and Cole “C. J.” Vaughn – Smith of North Vernon, Indiana.
Two Brothers, Mike Mitchell of Orlando, Florida and Larry Mitchell of Dayton, Ohio. She is also survived by several grand and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter – Kimberly Stockrahm.
The family has chosen cremation and will be scheduling a memorial service at a later date.
