Robert Harmon Hooker, age 96, a native of Talbot, Indiana and a recent resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at The Lutheran Home in Seymour, Indiana. He was born on November 7, 1928 to the late Lewis Harmon and Anna Hooker. 

He was a member of Seymour Central Christian Church for 12 years and a graduate of Boswell High School, Boswell, Indiana class of 1947. He and his wife, Rosemary Jean Hooker were married for almost 75 years.

He was a farmer, John Deere mechanic, Purdue University Agronomist, crop insurance adjuster, restaurant owner and worked in the seed corn and landscaping business. He won his class in the Indiana State Fair Tractor Pull Contest in 1957. His hobbies included: woodworking, gardening, competition shooting, pheasant hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Robert D. Hooker of North Vernon, Indiana and one daughter, Kathy Simmons of Connecticut, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John Hooker and three sisters, Edith Tibbets, Fern Rush Charlesworth and Lucy Fry. He so missed his wife, Rosemary Jean who passed away on November 11, 2023. He was anxiously awaiting to be called home with Jesus.

The family has chosen cremation.
