Robert Gene Johnson Jr.

Robert Gene Johnson Jr., age 68 of Harned, KY, formerly of Madison, IN, passed away at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY on Sunday, June, 28, 2015. Born July 25, 1946 in Greenfield IN, he was the son of Robert Gene Sr. and Abby (Stephens) Johnson. Robert was united in marriage to Barbra Brierly on August 12, 1973. Robert was a 1963 graduate from Greenfield Central High School. He was inducted into the United States Army in 1964 and was honorably discharged after 25 years of service. Survivors include his wife; two sons Robert Gene Johnson 3rd. and his wife Tabitaha of Hanover, IN, Benjamin Johnson of Madison, IN; two daughters Lisa Miller and her husband Eric of Vevay, IN, Abby Vanegas of Madison, IN; two brothers Steve Johnson of Madison, IN, Gary Johnson of North Vernon, IN; four sisters Jamie Voight of Greenfield, IN, Vonda Richards of Madison, IN, Sherry Johnson of Spencer, IN, Roxanne Larrison Of Raleigh, NC; ten grandchildren, David, Robbie, Angela, Perry, Kaleb, Ben Jr., Adam, Christian, Adrian, Paisley. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother Floyd Johnson; granddaughter Emily Carter. Full military honors will be conducted on Tuesday, July 7th at 1:00 pm at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road Madison, IN by Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion.
