Rickey Middleton

Rickey "Rick" Lee Middleton, age 70. a native of Scottsburg, Indiana and a resident of Nabb, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. He was born on April 7, 1952 to the late Harold Middleton and the late Leora (Bressler) Middleton. He was a member of Lexington Christian Church. He was a Past Master and longtime member of the English Lodge #622, Lexington, Indiana. In 1985, he helped start little league sports in Lexington, Indiana and worked with it for over 13 years. He had a drive to help people be their best and teach them to always strive to better themselves. He genuinely had the backs of those that he loved. He was funny and loved telling a good story and was a great teacher to his boys, always leading and teaching by example. He enjoyed squirrel hunting, bee keeping, trapping, hobby farming with his chickens and hunting mushrooms and Ginseng roots.
Rick was an amazing man that loved life, people and his family very much and will be sadly missed by each life that he touched.
He is survived by the love of his life of over 52 years, Sharon (Walker) Middleton of Nabb, Indiana, three sons, Jason Middleton and his wife Karen of Scottsburg, Indiana, Justun Middleton and his wife Laura of Nabb, Indiana and Joshua Middleton and his wife Brittany of Nabb, Indiana. Twelve grandchildren, Kasey Alton and her husband CJ, Sydney Middleton, Elijah Middleton, Gracie Middleton, Jaxson Middleton, Katey Middleton, Reece Middleton, Lukas Middleton, Tanner Middleton, Mason Middleton, Kenslee Middleton and Lyla Middleton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Middleton.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM with services starting at 3:00 PM with Pastor Aaron Flucke officiating at the English Lodge #622, located at 8090 E. Main Street, Lexington, Indiana. A meal and time of fellowship will follow.
A private family burial will be held at Lexington Cemetery.
