Richard Earl Stout

Richard Earl Stout, age 53, a native of Seymour, Indiana and a resident of Scipio, Indiana passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 23, 2023. He was born on July 30, 1969 to the late Bill Stout and the late Alice (Lane) Thompson.

Richard loved motorcycles and was a member of the ABATE motorcycle club. He loved music, especially rock music and was a gun enthusiast. He was a very headstrong man that loved to pick on people and was very set in his ways, while having a soft side for those he loved. He was an electrician by trade and would help anyone that he could and if he couldn't help, he would always take the time to walk you through it.

He is survived by his two sons, Lathin E. Stout and Garret Meeks of Scipio, Indiana and one daughter, Lakya Lanham and her husband Jared of Seymour, Indiana. Four brothers, Billy Joe Stout of Houston, Indiana, Larry Newby and his partner Backy Watkins of Hayden, Indiana, Raymond Thompson of Seymour, Indiana and Tony Thompson and his wife Lynn of Seymour, Indiana. Six sisters, Darla Napier of Seymour, Indiana, Marie Britton of Seymour, Indiana, Robyn Stout of Bedford, Indiana, Debbie Smith and her husband Mike of Ohio and Tammy Anderson and her husband Ronnie of Seymour, Indiana and Teresa Thompson of Seymour, Indiana.

Two grandchildren, Jaden Lanham and Reagan Lanham. One half brother, Eric Dalton of KY and one living step father, Johnny Thompson of Seymour, Indiana.  He is also survived by the mother of his children and best friend, Joann Roberts and her fiancé Roger Godsey of Commiskey, Indiana.

In keeping with his wishes, the family has chosen cremation and a celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 10:00 am until 1:00pm at Christensenfamilyfuneral.com.
