Raymond Lawrence Sease Sr.age 79, a loved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on February 2, 2025, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. Born on December 28, 1945, in Salem, Indiana, Raymond was a lifelong resident of the area, known for his strong will and compassionate heart.
A proud graduate of Salem High School in 1964, Raymond dedicated himself to serving his country in the United States Navy. This military service instilled in him a sense of discipline and pride that he carried throughout his life.
Raymond had a long-standing membership at The Tabernacle at Sandy Creek for over 46 years, where he played a significant role in maintaining the bus ministry. His commitment to helping others was a reflection of his character; despite his strong-willed nature and rough exterior, those who knew him understood that he had a heart of gold willing to assist anyone in need.
He possessed remarkable skills as a master blacksmith and was known for his exceptional mechanics and paint and body work. Additionally, he enjoyed muzzle loader shooting, a testament to his passion for craftsmanship and the great outdoors.
Above all, Raymond cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Mildred Lawson Sease of Seymour, Indiana; son, Raymond E. Sease Jr. and his wife Sharon of Scipio, Indiana; daughter, Melissa Dyess and her husband Charles of Uniontown, Indiana; sister, Sally Satterwhite and her husband Mike of Salem, Indiana; four adoring grandchildren, Sarah, Olivia, Philip, and Kendra; as well as two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Eden.
Raymond also rejoins in eternal rest his father, Raymond E. Sease; mother, Edna Allen Sease; and sister, Margaret Roberts.
His legacy will be warmly remembered by those he touched with his love, generosity, and unwavering spirit. He loved and adored his grandchildren, and the memories they created together will forever remain in their hearts. As friends and family gather to celebrate his life, they will remember him as a man of integrity whose impact on their lives was profound and lasting.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been selected.
