Raegene (Robertson) Scrogham

Raegene (Robertson) Scrogham, age 92, a native of Brown County, Indiana and a resident of Medora, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 7, 1931 to the late Anderson Robertson and the late Lillie (Hendrick) Robertson. She was a member of Vallonia Baptist Church and a 1950 graduate of Christianburg High School. She was a proper yet fun lady that lived a clean life and was an example to all that knew her. She was artistic and enjoyed crafting, gardening, flowers and animals, especially dogs and cats. Raegene was an excellent cook and the family will forever treasure the memories of her Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Above all, nothing compared to the love she has for her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Terry Scrogham of Medora, Indiana and three daughters, Sharon Thompson of Taylorsville, Indiana, Donna Lee and her husband Jon of Medora, Indiana, Beverly Moore and her husband Tim of Medora, Indiana and Stacie Wheatley and her husband Brian of Seymour, Indiana. 16 grandchildren, Robert, Dana, Troy, Amy, Andrew, Brandi, Janssen, Jalin, Lindze, Timothy II, Justice, Dillon, Haley, Macy, Zachary and Emilee. 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 73 years, Everett Scrogham, two brothers, Keith Robertson and Lloyd Robertson, One son, Larry Scrogham, One granddaughter, Patricia Scrogham and great granddaughter, Shelby Boggs.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home - Winklepleck Chapel in Brownstown, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, she will be laid to rest at McKinney Cemetery in Brown County, Indiana.
