Pauline Root Marsh, age 86, a native of London, KY and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on April 18, 1936 to the late Delbert Root and the late Sintha (Norton) Root. She was an employee of Rose Acres for over twenty years and was a member of Surprise Methodist Church for over 30 years.

She enjoyed fishing, camping and mushroom hunting, but most of all she loved her grandchildren.

She was a cheerful, generous lady that never met a stranger and was "mom" to everyone that knew her. Pauline was a wonderful cook and the family will forever treasure the memories of her chicken and dumpling and persimmon pudding.

She is survived by her two sons, James Jones and his wife Sandra of Sanderson, FL and Delbert Jones and his life partner Kathi Stanicki of Freetown, Indiana. One brother, Lonnie Root of Brownstown, Indiana. Two grandchildren, Kimberly Jones and Danny Jones. Four step grandchildren, Mike Fields, Debbie Sweeney, Cherrie Collins and Kimberly Kier.

Two great grandchildren, Kaiden Jones and KK Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and father of her children, Joseph Jones and her second husband of over forty two years, Gene Marsh. Three Brothers, Homer Root, Earl Root and Duke Root. Two sisters, Jacqueline Jones and Omie Land.

In keeping with her wishes, the family has chosen cremation and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
