Patricia Lou (Engleking) Diggs

Patricia Lou (Engleking) Diggs, age 84, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on April 27, 1940 to the late Meredith Engleking and the late Bessie (Brooks) Engleking. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 60 years, a member of Reddington Home Economics and the Shrine Guild.  Patricia was a loving, caring lady that took care of others needs, many times ahead of her own. 

She enjoyed sewing and caring for her amazing rose bushes. She was an excellent cook and made the best Christmas cookies.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Gilbert Diggs of Seymour, Indiana. One son, Tracy Diggs and his wife Carol of North Vernon, Indiana, one brother, Tommy Joe Engleking and his wife Diane of Reddington, Indiana and one sister, Marilyn Stogdill and her husband Howard of Seymour, Indiana. Three grandchildren, Andrea Bray, Johnathon Diggs, and Sean Diggs.  Three great grand children, Theresa Perez Hunter Bray and Alexandria Perez. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Tony Diggs, four brothers, Gene Engleking, Irvin Engleking, Charles Engleking and Norman Engleking. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home - Seymour Chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday June 26, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Reddington Cemetery.
