Nora Connie Garrett

Nora “Connie” (Jaynes) Garrett, age 77 of Seymour, passed away on August 20, 2015 at Lutheran Community Home is Seymour. Born August 11, 1938 in Seymour, she was the daughter of Robert Arthur and Iva Lucille (Eisele) Jaynes. Nora was a member of The Point in Seymour. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for Thirty years and the Director of Nursing for a North Vernon Nursing home. Mrs. Garrett enjoyed painting, and she also loved animals and was a member of the ASPCA. Survivors include her two daughters, Kimberly Claxton and husband Ralph, Beth Walden and husband Mike all of Seymour; her sister Phyllis Deaton and husband Eli of Crothersville, Indiana; her niece Cheryl Helton and husband Dave of Seymour; her friend of 18 years Bill Bell of Seymour; Five Grandchildren and Nine Great-Children. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday August 22, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of service at 1pm on Saturday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre at 311 Holiday Sq. Rd. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
