She was born on August 22, 1939, in Seymour, Indiana, a town she cherished and remained devoted to throughout her life.

She was a 1958 graduate of Seymour High School. Her husbands family was founding members of Peters Switch Church of the Nazarene where her and her beloved husband were the first to married at, She was formerly involved in the Red Hat Ladies Society, reflecting her spirited and community-oriented nature. Her personality was spunky and joyful; she was ambitious and full of character, marked by an unwavering work ethic that inspired those around her.

Nancy was an eternal adventurer at heart, never one to shy away from a challenge. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to own and operate an array of businesses, each an extension of her passions and talents. The Out of Towner Café, Frontier Steakhouse, and Café de Noblitte were not merely establishments; they were the heartbeats of the Seymour area, where the delicious aromas of roast prime rib, hearty stew, and savory beef bourguignon filled the air. The care she took in cultivating her own herb garden and sourcing fresh ingredients from wild game reflected her commitment to wholesome and natural cooking for her family and beyond.

But she was not solely defined by her culinary prowess. Nancy’s adventurous spirit also shone brightly in her children's boutique, “Rosebuds Adorable Apparel,” her beauty shop, and her successful career as a realtor. Alongside her beloved husband Glenn, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage, they created an enchanting haven for families with the Rok-Sey Roller Rink, a space filled with laughter and joy.

Beyond her entrepreneurial ventures, Nancy was also a gifted poet, delighting in the art of expression and weaving her thoughts into beautiful verses. She leaves behind a legacy not only of businesses but of warmth, adventure, and creativity.
