Nancy C. Yheulon

Nancy Carol (Coates) Yheulon, age 74, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at her residence. She was born on February 1, 1949 to the late Kenneth Coates and the late Mildred (Albert) Coates.

Nancy will forever be remembered as a feisty, outgoing, lively lady that loved life. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She adored animals, horseback riding and enjoyed raising and breeding Dachshund dogs. 

She was a wonderful cook and the family will forever treasure the memories of her turkey and noodles.

She is survived by her son, Jacob Smith and his wife Gretchen of Madison, Indiana, one sister, Cecelia Melancamp of Seymour, Indiana and two grandchildren, Isaac Smith and Grant Smith. She is also survived by her ex husband and lifelong friend, Ray Yheulon of Columbus, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Kenneth Coates and Floyd Coates and two sisters, Judy Lewis and Ester Bryant. 

In keeping with her wishes the family has chosen cremation.
