Michele Suzette Rodriquez

Michele Suzette (McNew) Rodriquez, age 60, a native of Seymour, Indiana and a resident of Jonesville, Indiana passed from this life on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Wendel McNew and the late Marcia (Blair) McNew. Michele loved people and serving them was her passion. She was a nurse for many years and served for 17 years as the nurse at Lincoln Elementary School in Columbus, Indiana. She was a faithful member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Jonesville, Indiana where served on many committees. She had a deep love for the people of Jonesville where she served as Town Board President, a member of the Daughters of the Revolution Auxiliary, VFW Board of Columbus, Indiana and was known by many as the “Queen of Jonesville”. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and often adopted many others into her life and home and loved them as her very own.
Michele is survived by her husband of 34 years, Felix Rodriquez Jr. of Jonesville, Indiana, one son, Felix Rodriquez III of Jonesville, Indiana, two daughters, Heather Bond and her husband Preston of Waco, Texas and Ada Hiten and her husband Joseph of Columbus, Indiana. One brother, Robert McNew of Rifle, Colorado and three sisters, Rose McNew of Florida, JoAnn Garcia of Wisconsin and Dee Smith and her husband Donnie of Jonesville, Indiana. Eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM with funeral services beginning at 10:30 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jonesville, Indiana with Pastor Matthew Jung officiating.
