Michael Joe Malone

Michael Joe Malone, age 62 of Seymour, passed away at 5:30a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Born March 15, 1951 in Seymour, Indiana, he was the son of Fred A. and Rosemary (Brooks) Malone. On October 25, 1986 in Jellico, Tennessee, he married Kim Culp Harvey. Retired, Mike had worked at Cummins Engine Company, National Veneer-Swain Industries and Metaldyn Corporation. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife Kim, four children, Gregory (Angelina) Malone and Jamie Wheeler of South Carolina, Amanda (Andy) Bowman of Seymour and Jamie Howell of Freetown. Mike also had four brothers, Dwayne (Linda) Malone and James Malone of Scipio, David (Pam) Malone of Seymour and Terry (Darlene) Malone of Vernon; one sister, Katrinka Cottongim of Scipio. Also surviving were nine grandchildren, Maddie and Brady Bowman, Dylan and Hayley Howell, Dustyn, Samantha, Jordan and Jake Wheeler, and Jack Malone. Mike also had several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 14th at the home of David Malone located at 8547 Rainier Drive in Seymour. Memorials can be given through the funeral home to Hospice of Schneck Medical Center. Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre is handling arrangements.
