Melvin Goodin

Melvin Goodin, age 55 of Hanover, passed away on Saturday, July 26th at The Waters of Clifty Falls. Born December 28, 1958 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, he was the son of Lee and Viola (Foister) Goodin. Melvin was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching Nascar with his favorite driver, Kevin Harvick. He also enjoyed fishing and flying remote control helicopters. Survivors include his father, Lee; sister Carolyn Cline of Madison; brother, Roger (Mary Lou) Goodin of Madison; also 1 nephew, 2 nieces, 5 great nephews and 2 great nieces as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Melvin was preceded in death by his mother on July 22, 2012 as well as brother Ricky in 1960. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 30th from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre, 117 Holt Dr. in Madison. Services will be on Thursday at 11:00am at the New Hope Baptist Church in Lexington with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Henryville.
