Melissa Vogel

Melissa Anne Vogel, 58 of Seymour passed away November 8, 2019 at Jewish Hospital, following a brief illness. Born January 22, 1961 in Seymour. She was the daughter of Jack and Barbara (Campbell) Shipley.
She graduated from Seymour High School in 1979 and attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour. She was an animal lover from birth. She fed and found homes for any stray she came across.

She is survived by her daughter, Leah Vogel and her husband Tim Simpson and her 3 grandsons; Luke Noah and Zion Simpson; her mother Barbara Shipley of Seymour; sisters, Monica Ewers of Ohio, Marsha (Jim) Frisbie and Melanie Godsey both of Seymour; nieces and nephews, Adrian Wilson, Jill (Pete) Darling, Niles (Brandy) Frisbie, Amanda (Ryan) Bateman, Jonathan and Daniel Godsey; Great nieces and nephews, Grace, Olivia, Warren, Emma, Keller and Wyatt all of whom she loved with all her heart.

She was preceded in death by her father Jack Shipley and her brother Mark Shipley.

A memorial service will be held with family at a later date. Cremation is chosen
