Mary Ruth (Goens) Newmister

Mary Ruth (Goens) Newmister, age 85, a native of LaPorte, Indiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Covered Bridge Health Center in Seymour, Indiana. She was born on July 23, 1938 to the late Doris Goens and the late Nelda (Perkins) Goens. She was member of First Baptist Church in Seymour, Indiana where she was very active in missions. She loved the Lord with all her heart and did for others before she would do for herself. She enjoyed painting and was an excellent golfer.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John Newmister of Seymour, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jim Goens.
