Mary Jeanette (Heilman) Schmidlapp

Mary Jeanette Heilman Schmidlapp, age 87 of Madison, passed away at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 30th, 2014 at Hickory Creek At Madison. Mrs. Schmidlapp was born in Madison, IN on July 7 th, 1927 to the late Bernard and Helen (Thornton) Heilman. She married Robert Edward Schmidlapp on January 1st, 1947 who preceded her in death on September 27, 1994. She attended school at Madison and was a member of the Hanover Baptist Church. Mary was employed for 27 years at Joyce Shoe Factory, Vevay and Madison, until her retirement. She is survived by three sons, Robert E. Schmidlapp Jr.; Keith W. Schmidlapp and Tony L. (Angee) Schmidlapp both of Madison, IN; six grandchildren, Taylor Griffin, Alex Schmidlapp, Vanassa Schmidlapp all of Madison, IN, Dawn McIntosh of North Vernon, Kimberly Barrett of Paris Crossing, Jason (Jayme) of Temecula, CA.; eight great grandchildren, Sheena Cook, Abby Schmidlapp, Grace Schmidlapp, Eli Harmon, Sophie Barrett, Sam Barrett, Gabe Schmidlapp, Cecil McIntosh, Mary, Sara and Ali Schmidlapp; one great, great grandchild, Conner Donnell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, John Michael Schmidlapp. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 3th, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre at 117 Holt Drive, Madison, IN.
