Mary Frances (Mack) Brandt, age 88, a native of Elizabethtown, Ill and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. She was born on March 24, 1935 to the late Melien Mack and the late Alberta (Washnock) Mack. She was a Christian by faith, a member of the Columbus Wood Carving Club and an avid volunteer at the Muscatatuck Wildlife Refuge for over 30 years.
Mary will forever be remembered as a strong lady with an outgoing personality. She never met a stranger and always believed in doing good and seeing things for what they truly are. She married the love of her life and husband of 59 years, Louis Brandt of Seymour, Indiana. As a team, they did everything together. They enjoyed, catching, cleaning and frying fish and enjoyed attending wood carving shows. Mary was a very good artist and enjoyed painting and wood carving.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and each life that she touched in her own special way.
She is survived by her husband and one sister, Alberta "Woodie" Tyre of Everton, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Mackie Mack and one sister Phillis Sanders.
In keeping with her wishes, funeral services will be private, she will be laid to rest at Scottsburg Cemetery.
