Mary F. Tyler

Mary Tyler, age 72 of Valley Station, passed away on Sunday, September 8th at her home surrounded by her family. Born January 21, 1941 in Brandenburg, she was the daughter of Thomas and Anna Juanita (Frakes) Goddard. She was retired having worked in the home health care field. She was always helping others and loved to be around her family. She also enjoyed playing bingo. Survivors include her children, Mark (Susan) Tyler, Monica Vinton, Michael (Cindy) Tyler, Tammy (Kevin) Murphy, Felicia Beardmore and Thomas (Lynn) Tyler. Mary also is survived by one brother John (Bobbi Jean) Goddard, 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and her companion Michael Whittington. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Shawn Patrick Tyler; a grandson, Christopher M. Tyler and a sister Tommie Anna Goddard. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, son Shawn Patrick Tyler and grandson Christopher M. Tyler. Rev. John J. Duty will conduct services on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Rutledge Road Baptist Church at 6690 Rutledge Road, Louisville, KY 40258. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until 5:00pm Tuesday, September 10th at the church and from 11:00am until service time on Wednesday. Memorials can be made to the church.
