Mark Allen Stewart, age 66, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at 1:56 AM, Sunday, March 16th, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born July 27th, 1958 in Columbus, to the late Forrest "Frosty" and Deloris "Tanny" Stewart. Mark was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a hero in his children's and grandchildren's eyes. He was a graduate of the class 1976 from Columbus North High School and a college graduate from Indiana Business College. He was formerly employed byReliance Electric Reeve Division, in Columbus, Barkes-Inlow and Weaver funeral home of Columbus and Flanner and Buchanan funeral home of Indianapolis. He also worked as an EMT and a volunteer Fireman for Columbus, umpiring at Lincoln Park in Columbus. Mark enjoyed his life to the fullest, in his older years he became so very humble as his grandchildren came along and filled his heart with so much love and joy. Spending time with his wife, kids and grandchildren was the highlight of his life. He had just learned he was going to be great-grandpa. He enjoyed fishing at Starve Hollow lake in VAllonia where he spent a lot of time growing up with his parents. Bowling, watching his Indianapolis Colts and IU basketball while yelling at the T.V. thinking the refs could hear him. Telling stories to his family to make us all laugh. Mark married his wife of 40 years Becky Stewart she survives. His children three kids Amber Fields, Kelby Stovall and Jarrod Stewart of Seymour, his grandchildren Tristen (Brenda) De Jesus of Seymour, Savannah Stewart of Dry Ridge, KY, Landon Cox and Harleigh Stovall of Seymour, Kinsley Stewart of Michigan, William Stovall of Columbus. Great-grandchildren David Davis and Kaison Harris of Seymour. Many kids he adopted over the years (you guys know who you are). Mark was preceded in death by his parents Frosty and Tanny Stewart, Harold and Peggy epperson, his grandson Jalin Espinol, great-granddaughter Leilani De Jesus, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mark will be missed especially by his wife, kids and grandchildren.
The family has chosen cremation and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
