Margaret Julietta Peachee Weddell, known to most as “Julie” or “Ladybug” passed away peacefully in Spanish Fort, AL, surrounded by her daughters, on May 7, 2024. She was born to George and Addie Peachee on July 24, 1935 in Jackson County, IN and was married for 43 years to her now deceased husband, Robert “Bob” Weddell. She was a homemaker for most of her life with various short term jobs of church secretary and S&H Green Stamp Store employee. The most important aspect of her life was her love for Jesus and for sharing that love with all she met. Second was her devotion to her husband and her three daughters. She loved to sew and garden and in the later years she began making baby quilts. She would quilt many days for up to 8 hours and as she quilted she prayed for the child that would be the recipient of that quilt. Those quilts are literally all over the world as one daughter took many to China while on a mission trip. What a ministry our gracious Lord gave to her.
She is predeceased by her parents, George and Addie Peachee, her husband, Robert “Bob” Weddell, and 3 sisters, Louise Peachee Galbraith, Hazel Peachee Willcutt, and Marilyn Peachee Mumford. She is survived by 1 brother, George Peachee Jr. (Linda) and 3 daughters, Sherrie Weddell Johnson, Sue Weddell Tabor(Gene) and Kay Weddell Jones(Greg). Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Mark Hewes(Amy), Chris Tabor(Ashlee), Rebecca Jones, Nancy Swagart(Joe), Sarah Sachitano(Matt), Laura Pasquith(Ben) and Robert Jones(Jessie). Also surviving are 19 great grandchildren.
In memory of mom’s heart to share the gospel, the family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to your home church’s mission program or Gideons International.
