Manford L. Bowman

Manford L. Bowman, age 76 of Seymour passed away at 12:36pm Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the St. Vincent’s Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. Born November 16, 1936 in Brownstown, he was the son of Calvin and Ethel (Reedy) Bowman. He loved fishing and woodworking, stamp collecting, reading books, working puzzles and smoking cigars. Survivors include three children, David J. Bowman of Bloomington, Jerry L. Bowman and Pamela M. Bowman both of Seymour. Manford also had five grandchildren, Jessica H. Bowman, Joshua C. Bowman, Dustin E. Bowman, Brandon Joseph Lee Royalty and Amber N. Royalty; Six great-grandchildren, Landin D. Jarvis, Jaylan V. Johnson, Elias J. Bowman, Jayce L. Royalty, Dakota L. Royalty and Jayden H. Pittman. Manford also had two sisters, Mary Alice Turner of PA and Janice (John) Nelson of Whiteland. Manford was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ida Kathryn Durham and Jeanice Weaver. Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 3rd at the Woodlawn Freetown Funeral Chapel at 4795 W. 1st Street in Freetown. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the funeral home for the Manford Bowman memorial fund.
