Laura Jean Chandler

Laura Jean "Jeannie" Burch Chandler, 62, of Vevay IN passed away on Friday, March 17 2023 in Switzlerland County IN..  She was born April 23 1960 in Cincinnati OH to the late Nathan C Burch and the late Dorotha Beasley Burch. Jeannie was a certified nursing assistant for over 20 years. A Christian by faith, she enjoyed crafting- "making something out of nothing", hunting and fishing. Diet Mountain Dew was always the favorite drink along with loving to watch horror movies. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved her family very much. Jeannie was a hostess to anyone that needed a place to sleep or loved to eat. She loved people and everyone loved her. She always let her light shine, she was  sweet, loving, fun, caring, and had a concern for others and always placed others ahead of herself. Survivors: son Tony Hele of Vevay IN; step-daughters Tammy Chandler of Scottsburg IN, Alice Chandler of Scottsburg IN, Penny Chandler of Scottsburg IN; sisters Judith Ann Cole & husband George of Vevay IN; Nancy Nordman of Cincinnati OH; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kennerh Chandler; daughter Dorotha Hele; son Allen Chandler; sister Phyllis Dean Burch.

Pastor Steve Ward will conduct a Graveside Service, 11am, Tuesday, April 4 2023, at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg IN. Friends and family will gather at the Scottsburg Cemetery for the service. Condolence messages for the family may be left at www.christensenfamlyfuneral.com.
