Kurt William Kahl

Kurt William Kuhl Jr., age 85, a native of New York and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 4, 2022. He was the son of the late Kurt William Kahl Sr. and the late Josephine (Orlik) Kahl.
Kurt loved life and lived a very active life. He played the baritone horn for bands in Madison and Columbus, Indiana. In his 50's, Kurt became interested in the "Iron Man Competitions". He was faithful at biking, swimming and running six days a week. He competed in fifty eight competitions of which he was a winner eighteen times. He also loved line dancing with his beloved wife of thirteen years, Elizabeth (Barrett) Kahl of Seymour, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Kurt Kahl and his wife Nancy of Terra Haute, Indiana and one daughter, Sandy Kahl of Colorado. One sister, Kathleen O'Conner of New York and two grandchildren. One step son and step daughter in law, Anthony and Teresa Robinson and step grandson, Zach Ross.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Thomas Kahl.
In keeping with his wishes, the family has chosen cremation.
