Judith "Judy" Ann (Francis) Boyd

Judith “Judy” Ann Francis Boyd, age 83, a native and resident of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on July 18, 2024, at Lake Pointe Village. She was born on May 22, 1941, to the late Verlen Francis and the late Jane (Thompson) Francis. She attended United Methodist Church of Scottsburg and was a member of the Scott County Moose Lodge and the Red Hats Society. She was a beautician by trade and was the owner of Judy’s Beauty Shop in Scottsburg for more than 40 years.

Judith was loving and caring, stern and a hard worker. She loved cooking, canning, shopping and playing cards (Hand and Foot). Most of all, her family was everything to her and she loved them deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Her husband, Roger Boyd. Two brothers, Randy Thompson and Mike Thompson. One grandson, William Ball IV.

She is survived by one daughter, Michel Ball and her husband William of Jeffersonville, Indiana. One brother, Jimmy Francis and his wife Linda of Scottsburg, Indiana. Two sisters, Linda Chasteen and her husband Terry of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Martha Melton (Jr). Two grandchildren, Michael Ball and Brittany Ball. Three great grandchildren, Aubrey Jackson, Emma Ball, and Olivia Ball.

The family has chosen cremation.  Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Scaffold Lick Cemetery, Friends are invited to leave condolence messages for the family at www.christensenfamilyfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Judith (Judy) Boyd Memorial Fund.
