Judith A. "Judy" Gellman, age 84, a woman who's spirit, strength and tenacity left an indelible mark on all who knew her, passed away on March 29, 2025, at Hoosier Health and Living in Brownstown, Indiana. Born on July 30, 1940, in Crothersville, Indiana, Judith blossomed into a remarkable woman—a graduate of Crothersville High School in 1958, she carried with her the spirit of her hometown, wrapped in unwavering independence and loyalty.

Judith was more than just a name; she was a force of nature—strong-willed and fiercely devoted to her family and friends. She possessed an innate ability to uplift those around her, always eager to extend a helping hand to those she loved.

Life’s joys were not lost on Judith, who embraced a variety of interests that reflected her personality. From the thrill of strategizing in computer games to diving into the pages of history-laden novels, she sought to enrich her mind and breathe life into stories past. Among her favorite pursuits was her love for New Orleans, a city bursting with vibrant culture and mouthwatering cuisine. She reveled in the spirited history and the lively atmosphere—an extension of her own vivaciousness.

Judith leaves behind her beloved daughter, Courtney Sitterding and her husband Clint of Seymour, Indiana. She is also survived by her cherished sisters, Marilyn Price of Brownstown, Indiana, and Sandra Shown and her husband John of Seymour, Indiana. The joy of her life expanded with the arrival of two grandchildren, Skye Toppe and Camden Sitterding, as well as two great grandchildren, Tripp Hague and Millie Hague, who were the light in her eyes and a reflection of her enduring legacy.

Though Judith’s earthly journey has come to an end, the love she sowed will echo through time, forever entwined with the lives she touched. She will be warmly remembered and deeply missed by those fortunate enough to know her—each memory a whisper of strength, loyalty, and abundant love. Judith A. Gellman’s spirit will remain an everlasting presence in the hearts of her family, eternally guiding them, as they carry forward the values she held dear.

In keeping with her wishes the family has chosen cremation and a celebration of life will be held at a later dater.
