John Laurel Dismore, 86, of Henryville IN passed away January 10, 2024 at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg IN. He was born November 24, 1937 in Scott County IN to the late Hollis Dismore and the late Miriam Wilson Dismore. He was married to Lois Jean Daily Dismore who was born March 15 1940 in Washington County Indiana to the late Charles Arthur Daily and the late Ruby Hazel Casey Daily and preceded John in death on December 18 2013 in Auburndale FL. John and Lois were married July 5 1956 at Zoah Christian Church in Scottsburg IN. John served his country in the National Guard Army. He was previously part owner of Scott County Machine & Tool. John enjoyed golfing and hunting. He was a caring man, a hard worker, and good provider, and he didn’t ask anyone to do anything he wouldn’t do. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Lois resided through the years in Henryville IN, Scottsburg IN, Leadore ID, and Haines City FL, moving back to Henryville IN around 1969 and eventually moved to Haines City FL in 1999 where she resided with John until her death. To her nieces and nephews she was Aunt Tootie. All who knew her well will remember her as a very loving, caring and giving woman that always put her family and friends before herself. John & Lois are survived by their children; Kathy (Jess) Hughes of Henryville IN, Carol (Bere) Clark of Henryville IN, Tim (Cindy) Dismore of Paoli IN, Terri Hopper of Leopold IN; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Lois is preceded in death by her parents; brother Raymond Harold Daily; sisters Thelma Lucille Griffin, Pearl Marie Poe McWilliams, Mary Bernice Paitsel, and several nieces and nephews. John is survived by his sisters Carol Thomas and Maralyn Murphy (Ronald). He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Lois.

Memorial Service for John & Lois Dismore: 7pm, Monday January 22 2024 at the funeral home.
In keeping with the family's wishes, cremation burial will be private at Zoah Cemetery.
