John "Kegan" Beckemeyer

John Kegan Beckemeyer, age 20, a native of Seymour, Indiana and a resident of Columbus, Indiana passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 as a result of an accident. He was born December 26, 2001 to John "Dale" Beckemeyer and Mandy (Vogel) Hercamp.
Known by all who knew and loved him as "Kegan", he will forever be remembered as an ornery guy that had a wonderful sense of humor and was quite the prankster. He loved kids and kids loved him. Kegan enjoyed working on his car and was a self taught mechanic. He loved hanging out with his friends and especially his sister. He was the "IT" guy for both his grandmothers, always there for them when they needed help with anything technical. He was an incredible young man that will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him and each life that he touched in his own special way.
He is survived by his Mother, Mandy (Vogel) Hercamp and her husband Scott of Freetown, Indiana and his Father, John "Dale" Beckemeyer and his girlfriend Michel Beaty of Columbus, Indiana. One sister, Megan Beckemeyer and her fiance Cody Trowbridge of Freetown, Indiana. Paternal Grand Mother, Peggy (Spicer) Davidson of Seymour, Indiana, Paternal Grandfather, Daniel Beckemeyer of Columbus, Indiana. Maternal Grandmother, Debra Gilham - Stringer of Seymour, Indiana and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Paul Stout, Paternal step grandfather, Doug Davidson, Aunt Vicki Wilson and Uncle Denny Wilson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 5:00 PM Until 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre. Visitation will resume on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre with Pastor Jim Hudson officiating. He will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery.
