Joann (Brock) Foist, age 80 of Seymour, died at 5:56pm Sunday, March 10, 2013 at her daughters home. Born August 25, 1932 in Molus, Kentucky, Joann was the daughter of Ephie and Ida (Calloway) Brock. On July 21, 1951 in Seymour, she married Marvin Lee Foist, who passed away March 19, 2012. Her interests were crocheting and fishing and she thoroughly enjoyed being around her grandkids. Survivors include a daughter Debra (Bill) Acton of Seymour; three sons, Larry (Cinda) Foist, Gary (Judy) Foist and Brian (Melanie) Foist all of Seymour. Eight grandchildren, Stacy Foist, Gloria (Chris) Schrader, Shannon (Sara) Foist, Hollie Hagen, Brandon (Candace) Foist, Tyler Foist, Shawn Acton and Melanie (Mark) Koch; 12 great-grandchildren, Dakota Schrader, Samuel Schrader, Nicole Thompson, Roy Edwards, Cynthia Edwards, Nikki Edwards, Angelina Corya, Erica Corya, Brenton Foist, Laney Acton, Piper Acton, Nicholas Hagen, Shelby Hagen and Avery Koch; Brother, Ephie (Vivian) Brock, Jr. and two sisters, Selma (Terry) Verble and Jewel (Randy) Miser. Joann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Ed, Orville "Bud", George and Jay Brock and one sister, Geneva Eglen. Services will be held at 11:00am Friday, March 15th, 2013 at Seymour First Nazarene with Pastor Steve Greene officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 14th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the church and from 9:00am until service time on Friday. Burial will follow in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the church or the Hospice of Schneck Medical Center. Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre has been entrusted with the service.
