Jerry W. Jones

Jerry W. Jones, age 56 of Seymour, passed away at 8:52pm on Wednesday, November 26th at his home with his wife and family at his bedside. Born in Cary, KY on June 21, 1958, he was the son of Edward and Stella (Spurlock) Jones. On June 30th, 1990 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour, Jerry married Karen Campbell. Jerry started working at Home Products International in 1976 after graduating from Seymour High School and worked there until his illness kept him from it. He was a member of the Church of God in Seymour and was also a NRA member. Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors. The joy of his life was his two granddaughters. Jerry is survived by his wife Karen; daughter, Ashley (Derek) Gerth of Seymour; granddaughters, Ava and Bella Campbell; Mother and father-in-law, Doralee and Clay Campbell of Seymour; brothers, Ray (Carolyn) Jones of Crothersville, Elmer (Alberta) Jones of Brownstown; three sisters, Mildred Laws and Helen (Garland) Murphy both of Seymour and Eva (Joe) Barker of Hebron, KY; brothers-in-law, Kevin (Gail) Campbell of Austin and Keith (Lisa) Campbell of Brownstown; Jerry also had several nieces and nephews surviving. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Henry and a brother-in-law, Roscoe Laws. Pastor Bill Lockman will conduct services at 1:00pm on Tuesday December 2nd at the Seymour Christian Church at 915 Kasting Road in Seymour. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre and then from noon until service time at the church. Burial will follow services at Riverview Cemetery.
