Jerry Thomas Silakowski Sr.

Jerry Thomas Silakowski, age 76, a native and resident of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Norton's Kings Daughter Health in Madison, Indiana.  He was born on August 13. 1945 to the late Joseph Silakowski and the late Wilma (Kemp) Silakowski. He was a Christian by faith and retired from Cummins after 30 years. He loved fishing, golfing, gardening, IU Basketball and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who he taught to ride their bikes. He was a soft spoken man that was slow to anger and had a sarcastic sense of humor. Jerry will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him and each life that he touched in his own special way.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Karen (Kallembach) Silakowski of Scottsburg, Indiana, two sons, Jerry Silakowski and his wife Joy of Scottsburg, Indiana and Michael Silakowski and his wife Rose of San Francisco, California. One daughter, Janet Bledsoe and her husband Jason of Scottsburg.. Three grandchildren, Jessica Silakowski, Luke Bledsoe and Molly Bledsoe. A brother John Silakowski and his wife Linda of Scottsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eddie Silakowski.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Christensen - Hoagland Family Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.

A private family Celebration of Life service will be held following the public visitation.
