Jerald K. Roberts

Jerald K. Roberts of Seymour, passed away on his 73rd birthday at the Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. Born July 2nd, 1941, he was the son of Charles Camby and Theora Gertrude (Hahn) Roberts. On May 23, 1965, he married Myra Kathleen Wilkerson at the Christiansburg United Methodist Church in Brown County. A self employed carpenter, Jerald was a member of the Christiansburg United Methodist Church where he had served as a trustee and was active in the fellowship hall construction. He had served six years in the Army National Guard. Jerald was an avid fisherman and hunter and participated in antique engine shows. The love of his life was his grandson Charlie. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Kathleen; son Douglas and his wife Lori of Brownstown; daughter Beth Gregory of Indianapolis; grandson Charles Gregory; brothers, Charles Roberts, Jr. of Russell Springs, KY and Michael Roberts of Vallonia; four sisters, Barbara Morey of Seymour, Joyce Bessenger of Hayden, Marilyn Wente of Seymour and Kathy Lockridge of North Vernon. Jerald also had three step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, July 5th at the Christiansburg United Methodist Church at 7372 Christiansburg Road, Columbus, IN 47201 (North of Freetown on 135). Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service and also after the service at the church fellowship hall. Memorials can be given to the Christiansburg United Methodist Church or to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana care of the funeral home.
