Jeffrey Ray Mills

Jeffery Ray “Jeff” Mills, age 50 of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Eskenazi Health Hospital. Born in Barberville, Kentucky on June 30, 1965, he was the son of Ed and Amy Catherine (Philpot) Mills. Jeff was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 655 and a former member of the Moose and American Legion in Seymour. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time outdoors and camping. Survivors include his parents, Ed and Amy Mills of Seymour; daughter, Ashley Steele of Arkansas; siblings, James C. (Nancy) Mills of Seymour, Michael E. (Alisa) Mills of North Vernon and Ruby J. (Anthony) Gilbert of North Vernon. Jeff also had several nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents; brother, William L. Mills and niece Chantel Mills. Dickie Clampitt will conduct a celebration of Jeff’s life at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home. Memorials can be made at the funeral home to Riley Hospital for Children.
