Jeff was a man of faith who often studied the Bible and was a firm believer of God and miracles. Jeff had a big influence in the community by owning his own painting business “Herron Home Painting” and was well known as the owner of Rok-Sey Arena Skating Rink. Jeff loved his “skating rink kids”. After many years passed, he would say “there goes one of my skating rink kids”. They were like family to him, not just customers. He was President of the Jaycees and ran booths at the Seymour Oktoberfest, Jackson County Fair and the Seymour Haunted House along with many other areas that he volunteered to help his community. He loved music and going to concerts where he met a lot of famous artists and had front row passes to “Farmaid”. He was an excellent poker player and loved life. He was outgoing, outspoken and adventurous.
Jeff loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially being outdoors, visiting, laughing or telling stories. He never met a stranger and enjoyed making conversations with anyone. He was a kind hearted man that was a giver, ever when he didn’t have to give and his door was always open. Jeff loved poetry and enjoyed writing his own, one of which made it to the Small Town Monthly Paper. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him and each life that he touched in his own special way.
